Civil matters
We advise on property and contract disputes between individuals, prepare demand letters and claims, and represent you in court. First we look at whether the dispute can be settled without going to court.
Who it is for
- People owed money, or facing a demand to repay a debt
- Parties to lease, construction or sale disputes
- People whose property was damaged, or who face a damages claim
Typical situations
- A loan made against a receipt was not repaid on time
- A seller took payment but did not hand over the property
- A tenant damaged the premises and moved out
- A neighbour dispute over a boundary or wall
- Poor-quality renovation work and no refund
How we work
Document review
We read the contract, receipt, payments and messages and assess how strong the claim is.
Demand letter
We send the other side a written demand. Many disputes are settled at this stage.
Statement of claim
If there is no settlement, we prepare the claim with evidence and file it in court.
Court and enforcement
We represent you at hearings and, after judgment, follow the enforcement process.
Documents to prepare
- Contract or receipt
- Proof of payment
- Letters and messages between the parties
- Evidence of the loss (valuations, receipts)
- Identity document
This list is indicative. Your attorney will give you the exact list at the first meeting.
Frequently asked questions
Can I recover a debt without a receipt?
It depends on other evidence: transfers, messages, witnesses. We will review your documents and tell you where you stand.
Is there a deadline for going to court?
Yes. A limitation period applies and it depends on the type of dispute, so it is best not to wait.
Who pays the court costs?
Usually the losing party. We will explain how it works in your case.
